TO ASSEMBLE COSMIC BEAR

Stuff the head firmly. Using the metallic thread, chain stitch a line around the center of the head, from the base of the back of the head to the base of the front.

Cut a tiny circle of white felt for the nose and embroider a small black inverted triangle in the center of it, using two strands of black floss and straight stitches. Use a single strand of white floss and tiny overstitching to attach Cosmic Bear’s nose to his face.

For the eyes, cut two tiny ovals of white felt, glue them in position on Cosmic Bear’s face, then sew on two black beads for the pupils. Embroider the mouth in a straight single stitch, using black yarn. Sew some little white beads on either side of Cosmic Bear’s head rivet, using a single strand of white floss and the beading needle.

Pin the ears into place and sew them onto the head with leftover tails of yarn.

Stuff Cosmic Bear’s body firmly and sew the levers to his front using metallic thread. Make the three vertical lines with chain stitch, then add three bugle beads for the levers, stitching them across the lines at three different levels with a beading needle and one strand of blue floss.

Stuff the legs and sew them onto the body using tails of yarn left from crocheting. Sew Cosmic Bear’s head onto his body, and complete him by sewing his arms in place at his sides.
